HAVANA, Cuba, May 3 (ACN) The members of the three Cuban relay teams that will participate at the IAAF World Relays, to be held in the Bahamas on May 4 and 5, will travel today to that Caribbean nation.

That event will grant tickets to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, hence the importance of achieving a good result.
The 4×400 meters (m) quartet will lead the Cuban delegation to that competition, and will have the difficult task of defending the title won in the Silesia 2021 edition.

The team is made up of Roxana Gomez, Rose Mary Almanza and Lisneidy Veitia, champions three years ago, and Dayli Cooper, Melissa Padron and Camila Rodriguez are also part of the team.

Laura Moreira, Jocelyn Echazabal, Yarima Garcia, Enis Magda Perez, Greysi Robles and Yunisleydis Garcia will also represent the island in the 4×100 m race.

In that same modality, but among the men, Reinaldo Espinosa, Edel Amores, Yaniel Carrero, Aniel Lopez and Shainer Reginfo will take part, according to what was announced to the press last April by the Cuban Athletics Federation.

The classification system establishes that the eight finalist relay teams will secure their tickets to the Olympic Games, while the relays that do not make it to that race will compete among themselves for another six tickets.
